I'm adding Facebook sharing to an iOS app. It uses Facebook's SDK to show the native dialog, then and falls back on the web dialog is the Facebook app isn't installed. This all works perfectly.
However, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do on the Facebook developer site itself. I can set up an icon, title, etc., but how much of this is necessary to post a link on the user's Facebook wall? There's an approval process now, am I going to need to go through that?
Additionally, this app is now entirely separate from the brand's page (and has nothing to do with it). It's not really a Facebook app, it's just a Facebook app because you need to have an app identifier to use the share dialogs. Ideally I'd like the source attribution in the wall post (the name of the app) to just link to that page, instead of a "/games/id
" page (it's not even a game...?). Is this, or something approaching this, possible?
